Here we are; Shoutem crew is getting really close to launching a Mobile Loyalty feature, and I wanted to tell you more about how we decided to do it and what we see as the biggest opportunities in this space.
Loyalty is a win-win for both you and your customers
Unlike Groupon and similar services that do bring new customers through your door but whose long-term value is questionable, Loyalty is designed to bring value over the long term and to establish a stronger relationship with your customers and keep them coming back. Loyalty program is a win-win system for both you as a business owner and for your customer as a buyer of your product or service. You increase your business, and your customers are rewarded for their loyalty.
How is our loyalty app different?
Here is a quick video clip announcing our loyalty apps so that you can get a sense of how this works.
And here are three top differentiators.
1. It is your app with your brand
- From icon, splash screen, to iTunes account, it is all your brand.
- You are the only one who has access to your customers’ information.
While doing research, we discovered that most of the loyalty mobile apps out there do not work for most of the SMBs because these apps promote other businesses to your customer base, and you have no control over it.
2. You can customize everything
- Points and rewards are fully customizable. You select which actions you want to award your customers for taking. It can be simply sharing your content or real purchases in the store. It is completely up to you.
- Design, images, and colors: you can customize every single detail.
3. You can add your content to it
Once you have your customers download your loyalty app, you can provide them with additional engaging content. There is no limit on the type of content you can use. ShoutEm supports a large number of content types, and it is extremely easy to add your blog, videos, events, and other items to your app.
Push notifications are the ultimate tool to utilize to inform your customers about new offerings or events in your store or to bring customers in on a slow day by offering a discount.
Why we did it; what is next?
We found out that those three items are critical to our customers, but let me tell you little bit more why we decided to build a loyalty solution for an SMB market and how we see things evolving in this space.
Your feedback was most valuable to us
A while ago, we conducted surveys and asked our clients and resellers to tell us where they see the biggest need. Loyalty and eCommerce were two top requirements. We integrated eCommerce with Shopify, and the feedback received to date was excellent. We do plan to improve and add more integrations to the list. Loyalty took a little bit more for us to develop because we wanted to make it right.
We love creating innovations that improve everyone’s lives
As we mentioned, no one loses here. This is a win for both sides, and that is why we enjoy doing this. We believe that our platform can take loyalty to a completely new level and use the advantages of mobile technology to help SMBs grow their business even further.
Technology innovations will make this space even more exciting
With NFC, iBeacon, and integrated payments, your loyalty apps could offer even more seamless check-in and point collection processing, and your customers could start paying with your own app. I recently wrote about it on my blog, but in short, imagine Uber for stores: no cards, no cash, just walk in and walk out with an app, and you are done. This is closer that you might think.
Finally I would like to inform you that if you sign up for the beta version on our Facebook page, we will send you a 30% discount code for your first loyalty app.
